You can customize your own column configurations in Mambu UI such as All Clients, All Groups, All Accounts, Journal Entries, and Transactions Lookup. This allows you to get the specific perspective on your data that you need.
Custom column configurations are referred to as presets in the Mambu UI.
Selecting a column preset
Each customizable page includes a button in the upper-right that allows you to access and manage column presets.
If there is no default column preset for the page, the button will be labeled Custom Columns. If a column preset is available and has been configured as the default preset for the page, then the button will display the name of the active default preset.
Each column preset that you have access to for a page is available from the dropdown of this button and you may use this button to select, create, edit, or delete any column preset.
Creating a column preset
To create a column preset:
- Navigate to the page you want to customize.
- Select Custom Columns on the top right. Note that this button may display the name of a default column preset instead of "Custom Column" - see Selecting a column preset for more information.
- Select New Column Preset to open the creation dialog box.
- Enter a name for the preset.
- If you want the preset to be available to other Mambu users, select the Shared checkbox.
- If you want the preset to be the default column display for the page, select the Default checkbox.
- To add the columns you want to display:
- Select the Available Columns drop-down menu and select a column you wish to add.
- Select Add Column.
- Repeat the process for every column you want to include.
- You may re-sort the columns by dragging and dropping columns in the Selected Columns box.
- You may sort items in the columns automatically in ascending or descending order by selecting the desired sort criterion in the Sort By dropdown menu and selecting either Ascending or Descending order.
- You may configure displayed entries in the columns to display totals and/or timestamps by checking the relevant boxes.
- When you are finished, select Save Changes.
The available columns list includes both native fields and custom field definitions. For more information, see Custom Fields.
Editing a column preset
To edit a set of columns:
- Navigate to the page you wish to customize.
- Select the desired column preset as described in Selecting a column preset.
- Select Edit Columns on the right.
- Make any desired changes as described in Creating a column preset.
- When you are finished, select Save Changes.
A shared column preset can be edited by any user. However, only the user that created the preset has access to the Shared checkbox that determines access to the preset itself.
Deleting a column preset
To delete a column preset:
- Navigate to the page you wish to customize.
- Select the desired preset as described in Selecting a column preset.
- Select Edit Columns on the right.
- Select the Delete button and confirm to delete.
A shared column preset can be deleted by any user, not just the user that created it.
