Accessing, Managing and Generating Reports

Overview

Mambu measures your organization's data daily, so that you can always rely on the reporting system to know exactly how you are performing.

Here, not only you can find information about your organization's current numbers and financial situation, but also create and print reports with the indicators you choose and analyze your data retrospectively.

All the information you find here can be used for internal purposes but you can also choose to share it with third parties like donors, investors or any other entities who can be interested in accessing it. This is made simple in Mambu; you can just create an account for that entity and set a View Only permission.

Portfolio Report

This section allows you to quickly understand the overall size and structure of your organization's loan and savings portfolio. You can see the number of accounts and their accumulated balance, and more importantly, how they have changed across time.

To generate the reports Select a branch , Start and End dates, daily or weekly interval - Click "Generate Report" .

The information is divided in three sections: Overview, Accounts and Historical.

Overview Report

This section is, as the name implies, an overview of your organization mainly regarding its size and account distribution.

The report is divided in three sections, at the header there are some general indicators that will give you a quick at-a-glance view of your organization, and below you will have a visualization of your account growth and distribution by number of accounts and balances.

Accounts Report

Three interactive graphs will show you the evolution of your accounts portfolio: Created Accounts, Disbursed Loans, Written off Loans.

Historical Report

The different changes across time on several interactive graphs: Loans by status, Capital Structure, Portfolio Risk, and Average Loan Balance.

When you select Weekly reporting, the data points shown are from the same day of each week, for the duration of the time interval selected.

Please Note

When the interval does not correspond to full weeks, the report will be made until the last day of a full week.

Historical Report for a specific period of time.

When you select Monthly reporting, each month in the selected time range has one data point in the graph, which always corresponds to the same day of the month. For example, when selecting the interval June 6 to October 6, 2020, the data points correspond to June 6, July 6, August 6, September 6 and October 6.

Organization Report

This section will let you see how your organization stands in terms of Branches and Credit Officers and will let you measure how many loans per each of them.

To generate the report Select Start and End dates and between daily or weekly interval - Click "Generate Report" .

Earnings Report

This report gives you a comprehensive view of revenues and expenses related to your financial products, showing their Growth, Distribution and Mix for each product and per branch.

To generate the report Select a branch , Start and End dates, daily or weekly interval - Click "Generate Report" .

Cashflow Report

This is an interactive view where you can generate see the cash movements per branch related to your financial products on Mambu.

With this report you will have a more detailed view over the figures and operations of your organization, as you can see in the example below.

To generate the report Select a branch , Start and End dates, daily or weekly interval - Click "Generate Report" .

Please Note
They will be particularly helpful if your organization has more than one branch, as it will provide you a detailed report of each of the branches' performance. You will then be able to identify and take action upon issues that could otherwise remain hidden for too long.

Indicators in the Cashflow Report:

Income

  • Interest from Loans: The amount of paid interest of all repayments
  • Fees from Loans (all type of fees,  including the disbursement fees): The amount of paid fees of all repayments and fee charged transactions
  • Loan Penalties: The amount of paid penalties of all repayments
  • Interest on Deposits: The value is positive (interest was charged) or zero. It’s the amount of interest applied on deposit accounts
  • Fees on Savings: It’s the difference between the Savings Fees that were applied and the Savings Fees reduced amounts

Expenses

  • Interest Earned on Overdrafts: If the value is negative, means that the interest was charged. In this case it’s calculated as described above for Interest on deposit
  • Extraordinary Write-Off: sum of Overdraft Amount from all Savings transactions that have been written-off during this period to which we also add:
    • The difference between Loan Amount - Principal Paid, if a loan account is in Closed Written Off state
    • The principal amount from the write off transaction, if the a loan account is Closed Rescheduled/Refinanced state

Balance Changed

  • Principal Collected: Amount of principal of all repayments
  • Principal Disbursed: Amount of principal that was disbursed
  • Change in Portfolio (assets): Principal Disbursed - Principal Collected
  • Change in Deposits (liabilities): Sum of all savings transactions amounts

Create a new indicator report

If you need to create a report from scratch you can choose from different types of report and a list of indicators that are available.

There are 5 types of indicator reports:

  • Branch
  • Deposit Product
  • Loan Product
  • Centre
  • Center Manager

To generate a new report, go to Reporting - Indicators > click on Create New Report > select a type of report > choose the indicators for the report >  click on Add Indicator after each one you choose to include > Save Changes.

Edit indicator reports

You can make changes to your reports at any time. To edit a report, go to the reports list > click on the report you want to change > click on Edit > make the changes > click on Save Changes.

Please Note
In case you want to remove one or more indicators that were being used in that report, you just need to click on the delete icon next to the indicator.

To delete an indicator report, choose the report > click on Delete > Confirm the deletion.
