Article Summary

Cards are payment instruments issued by the bank and electronically linked to one or more deposit or loan accounts belonging to the cardholder. We support both debit cards and credit cards depending on the selected product.

Prerequisites

Before you start using cards in Mambu, make sure you do the following:

Mambu card services are based on card tokens. For more information, see Token Management. Once you register a card token in Mambu you can post card authorizations and transactions. For more information, see Authorization Holds and Transaction Processing.

There are two possible ways to integrate payment cards in Mambu: cards API and end-to-end solution.

Cards API

You may call Mambu Cards API directly by posting an authorization request or a financial transaction. You need to integrate with payment card processing companies for card issuing. Registration of card token unlocks Mambu Cards API for payment card authorization and transaction processing. In this case, you are responsible for mapping payment card authorization and transaction messages to Mambu Cards API payloads.

For more information, see Cards in our API Reference.

End-to-end solution

Our cards hub platform integrates with partners to provide end-to-end solutions for customers for both card issuing and card processing.

For more information about existing Mambu integrations, see Cards Integrations.
