Article Summary

In the Mambu UI, we use labels to define the specific terms that are used to refer to various basic entities and concepts. For example, by default, we refer to various entities in the Mambu UI as clients, groups, branches, and so forth. These terms are customizable, and you may change them to match whatever terminology you use for these concepts in your organization. You can view your labels via the Mambu UI at Administration > General Setup > Labels.

Please be Aware

Customized labels apply to the Mambu UI only. The corresponding terms in the Mambu API will not be affected.

The default labels that can be changed are:

  • Credit officers
  • Interest
  • Fees
  • Loan

Please Note
This element can also be configured using Configuration as Code (CasC). For more information, see Configuration as Code.

Labels and Mambu Display Language Settings

The Mambu UI may be configured to use non-English languages. If you set a user profile to use a non-English language, terms that are defined by labels are not automatically translated.

In this case, we recommend using labels to configure the Mambu UI to use the desired terms in the appropriate language. For more information, see Language Settings.
