Overview

Mambu allows customizing the items to be displayed in the Navigation Bar. You can create custom menu items and add different reporting or workflow views.


Creating Menu Items

Predefined Menu Items

The following menu items are predefined in Mambu and can't be removed from the Navigation Bar:

  • Dashboard
  • Products
  • Reporting
  • Accounting
  • Administration

Creating Menu Items

Gear button that allows creating menu items

  1. Click the Gear button from the Navigation Bar.
  2. Click plus to add a new menu item.
  3. Give your menu item a Name.
  4. Select the type of custom view that can be added underneath the menu. See Menu Item Types below.

By default all menu items include the Custom View "All..." item, corresponding to the menu type (ie, "All Clients" for Clients type). You can add additional custom views after Parent Menu creation, by clicking "Create New View" button. Each custom view allows setting conditions for filters and fields, as well as with which user roles the views are shared.

Please Note
After a menu item is created, it will be displayed as the last one in the navigation bar. You can chose to rearrange them by clicking the rearrange button near the Parent Menu dropdown.

If there are more menu items than can fit in the Navigation Bar, a >> icon will be shown where the remaining menus are nested. Nested Menu items

Menu Item Types

The custom view you create will include relevant data or allow filtering based on the menu type selected.

Types Description
Clients Client details
Groups Group (companies) details
Loans Loan accounts details, together with the clients or group account holder details
Deposits Deposit accounts details, together with the clients or group account holder details
Loan Transactions Loan transaction details, together with the parent account and account holder details
Deposit Transactions Deposit transaction details, together with the parent account and account holder details
Installments Loan account installments, together with the parent account and account holder details
Activities Details related to System Activities
Branches Branches details
Centres Centres details
Users Users details
Communications Details related to messages sent (SMS, Emails and Webhooks)
Please Note
Loan and Deposit Transaction items allow including the Repayments/Deposits Collections item. You can add or remove the collections item for any transactions item by toggling “Include Collections Item” checkbox when editing the menu.

Deleting and Disabling Menu Items

For deleting or disabling a menu item, click the edit button near the Parent Menu drop­down and Delete or Disable the menu. Deleting the menu will delete all the custom views that belong to it. Disabling it will remove the menu from the navigation bar, until it’s enabled again.
